WCCD presents “Waterbody health: Benefits of natural/living shorelines”
The Washtenaw County Conservation District (WCCD) will be hosting a presentation by Erick Elgin, an aquatic ecologist and water resources educator with Michigan State University Extension, on the benefits of natural shorelines on January 27, 2022, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Are you concerned about the water quality in your stream or lake, frustrated by nuisance geese, or fed up with algal blooms or an eroding shoreline? Come learn how natural, living shorelines can address these issues.
Interested participants need to register for either the Zoom webinar or the in-person screening at Bridgewater Township Hall (10990 Clinton Road, Manchester, MI 48158) at www.washtenawcd.org/events or by phone (734-302-8715). Capacity for the in-person screening will be limited, masks are mandatory, and attendees must confirm they have not knowingly been exposed to or had COVID-19 within the previous 10 days and are not currently ill.
The WCCD is a local unit of government, assisting private landowners, businesses, and others, with management of their natural resources in Washtenaw County. This District is an equal opportunity provider and employer. Information on the Conservation District is available online at www.washtenawcd.org.
