March is full of fun at Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café!  Come join us for one or all of these events.

There is much to look forward to this month at Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café.

On Sunday, March 20, at 3 pm, our very own Keegan from The Lakehouse Bakery will be teaching about the ever famous one-pot wonder in the class Souper Soups! Please pre-register at farmersmarket48158@gmail.com. There is no cost for this event, but donations to Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café are much appreciated. Suggested donation is $20.

On Friday, March 25, at 6:45 pm, we will continue our series of Final Friday’s Films with “The Real Dirt on Farmer John,” a documentary that captures two decades in the life of Farmer John Peterson, an Illinois farmer who rises out of bankruptcy to save his farm. Local snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. Again, this presentation is free, but a donation to Acorn is appreciated.

After the viewing, we will further our enjoyment of the movie with a group discussion led by local farmer and Acorn Board Member Megan DeLeeuw. Please register on our website, http://www.acornfarmersmarketcafe.org/events.html, if you wish to attend.

On Saturday, March 26, from 10-11 am, the talented Shawn Personke will host a delightful, yet simple, wool dryer ball workshop. No preregistration is required, and walk-ins are welcome. Come any time between 10-11 am to felt your own wool dryer ball. At only $5 per ball, these make great gifts too. All proceeds go directly back to Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café.

Email farmersmarket48158@gmail.com if you have any questions.
