Worth Repeating celebrated its second anniversary last week with free cake for our customers and a customer appreciation sale. In its two years of operation Worth Repeating has been able to give back to the community over $27,000 in grants and in-kind donations.

We begin year three with a new board of directors. The current officers consist of Pat Sahakian, President; JoAnn Okey, Vice President; Barry Allen, Treasurer; and Mary Ann Sahakian, Secretary. Board members Amy Fielder and Sharon Curtis retired after serving two years and making enormous contributions to the store. Amy served as Treasurer and Sharon as our Director of Store Operations.

Worth Repeating continues to look for ways to channel our profits back into the community. Grant applications are available in the store for local nonprofits.

Future plans include a silent auction beginning March 30th featuring some of our extra special donations. In May we will offer a repeat of our popular recycled tee shirt rug class. Registration for the rug class begins on April 13th. The class costs $5, which covers backing and five tee shirts as a starter kit. Participants are invited to bring their own tee shirts and extra shirts are available.

Worth Repeating is grateful for all the volunteers, donators, and shoppers who continue to make it a success. Worth Repeating continues to look forward to another year of service to the community.

Some of the Worth Repeating volunteers enjoying the celebratory cake served last week to shoppers included Barry Osterbur, Ann Walkowe, Dixie Kingsbury, Chris Brown, Pat Sahakian. Front Row, seated: Sandi Kwolek
