Response to Donald Vescoso’s Letter to the editor: We need new blood and ideas in our congressional candidates

I have followed your letters to the editor for quite a number of years. I feel that I must respond to you this time.

For years you have railed against Democratic candidates, especially female ones. So, that being said, I wanted to let my fellow citizens of Manchesterites know the positives of Debbie Dingell’s candidacy and what she can do for our district.

First off, she is a very experienced legislator, and a close ally and friend of the Democratic leadership in the House of Representatives. She asks for and gets things done for her constituents in her district. In the most recent government funding bill that passed Congress in March, she asked Nancy Pelosi to include an earmark for the Ann Arbor Housing Commission of $3 million for weatherizing, converting to electricity all heating and appliances, and installing solar panels on all their low income and senior housing properties. This will not only reduce the electric bills of the most needy, but help Ann Arbor become carbon neutral by 2030.

She gets things done! She has the connections and desire to listen and then get favorable legislation for her district. We are extremely lucky to have been chosen by her to represent our half of her old district. We have never had such a chance to be Represented in the House of Representatives so well.

As far as her wealth Mr. Vescoso, I never heard you complain about Donald Trump’s wealth, much of which has been proven in court to be gotten by fraud. It seems you only complain about a woman’s wealth.
