Road commission working in Sharon, Bridgewater, Freedom townships this week

In Sharon Township, Pleasant Lake Rd between Sharon Hollow Rd and Smythe Rd will have daytime closures. Contractors will be placing the new road shoulders following the road resurfacing. Placing road shoulders is the last phase of this project. The road will reopen at the end of each day and remain open until work resumes the following morning. The work is expected to take approximately two days to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions. Access will be maintained for school buses, emergency responders and people who live or work within the work zone.

This week’s WCRC roadwork in the Manchester area will include McCollum Road between Braun and Burmeister in Bridgewater Township. This work will involve daytime road closures only for a culvert replacement. Work is weather-dependent but expected to conclude during the week of May 2.

In Freedom Township, Saline Waterworks Road between Schneider and Steinbach Roads will also see daytime road closures this week for culvert replacements in that area. Again, work is weather-dependent but expected to be complete this week.
