During the month of April there were 209 calls for service. During this time 125 traffic stops were made, resulting in six citations. Noteworthy events in Manchester Village during last month include:
On April 16, a Collaboration Deputy responded to the 600 block of E. Duncan (Alumni Field) for a report of a breaking and entering incident. A service door at the concession building was kicked in, allowing entry to the building. Nothing of value was inside the building and nothing was stolen. At this time, Collaboration Deputies have positive leads on who the suspect(s) are.
Also on April 16, the same Collaboration Deputy from the previous event responded to the 400 block of City Road (former Ackerson building) for a report of a breaking and entering incident. A window on the rear of the building was broken and entry to the building was gained. A small amount of cash was taken from a coffee can. The same suspect(s) from Alumni Field are believed to be involved in this incident as well.
On April 21, a Collaboration Deputy responded to the area of Schaffer Court and Baker Road for a traffic crash. An investigation into the incident resulted in the arrest of the driver of the vehicle for operating under the influence of drugs. At the time of this report, lab reports are pending to aid in prosecution.
On April 23, a Collaboration Deputy responded to the 600 block of E. Duncan (Alumni Field) for a report of a shed door being kicked in. Just as with the incidents on April 16, Deputies are working to identify the suspect(s) involved and currently have positive leads to their identity.
