Community Bible Church

As gas prices continue to put stress on our wallets and budgets, one church community in Manchester is working to provide some welcome relief.

The Manchester Community Bible Church at 8400 Sharon Hollow Rd, led by Pastor Ron Clark, partnered with the Manchester Marathon gas station to give away one hundred $50 gas vouchers to help those in need in our community. They are working with Manchester Family Service who gave their clients (approximately 40–50 people) the gas vouchers at their most recent food distribution. The remaining vouchers were gifted to members of the Community Bible Church family who are in need, or members had the option of gifting the vouchers to their family or friends in need. The vouchers were made available to the congregation starting on June 26.

The vouchers must be used at the Manchester Marathon (100 E Main St) and they are to be used for gas only. The vouchers can be used only once.

Manchester Family Service has been serving the community since 1965 and can be reached at 734-428-8852. They provide monthly food distribution with Food Gatherers, including pet food, to their approximately 120 clients. They also can help with utility assistance, rental assistance, and occasionally medical and dental assistance. They also help families with Easter baskets, back-to-school supplies, an annual Christmas shop, and adopt-a-family projects at Christmastime. They receive funding through donations from individuals, businesses, churches, and other community-based groups.
