Thank you to everyone who participated in 2022 Run Manchester and to the residents for your understanding of the noise and the temporary closure of Main Street from the east side of the 4-way stop to Riverside, and a huge thank-you to all of the volunteers and sponsors. It takes a lot of time, people, and resources to put on a successful event like this. We hope that aside from the heat and humidity, this event was a great experience for all.

We had 47 kids who officially signed up for the Free Kids Fun Run and know that quite a few more joined in the run without officially checking in, which is great! We are happy to see so many kids participating! While not all runners were able to compete for various reasons, we had a total of 207 runners who officially signed up for this year’s race. This was a much bigger event than ever before. The registrations nearly tripled the two weeks before the race.

This year’s run brought in people from all over the country to run the half marathon, including two who were aiming to complete a half marathon in each of the 50 states. One emailed post-race to say, “It was a delight to meet such friendly people. I’m glad I chose this event to represent Michigan in my 50-state half marathon quest.“

The Manchester FIRST Robotics Teams #6081 and #11193 are grateful for the support and were very grateful for the additional contributions in person and through the signup link. We’re working hard on our new dedicated space at the Ackerson building. We are aiming for the state competition and have our fingers crossed and brains in gear for the chance at the world competition next season.

Pictures will be posted as soon as possible, most likely in a day or two on the Facebook page and via a link on RunSignup.com.

Here are the top finishers in each category. A complete list of runners and times is available at https://runsignup.com/Race/MI/Manchester/RunManchester2018
