Fun events set at Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café this coming week
submitted by Laura Wohlgemuth, Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café Event Coordinator
It’s time for a tea tasting with Michaela from Anthro Apothecary at Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café. Join us on Saturday, August 13, from 9 to 11am, for tea sampling with Anthro Apothecary. Michaela will have a lovely variety of new tea flavors for sale, too!
Also, Acorn extends a special thanks to Worth Repeating for sponsoring a special lineup of FREE Culinary Classes at Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café. Once a month, Chef Keegan Rodgers from The Lakehouse Bakery shares his knowledge of the science and history behind amazing food.
Next up is “Fun with Fruit“ on Monday, August 15, at 6pm. Join us to learn fresh new ideas for this summer favorite!
Please email farmersmarket48158@gmail.com to pre-register if you wish to attend these activities. And mark your calendars for these once-monthly FREE Culinary Classes at Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café located at 455 W Main St. In September, Chef Keegan will discuss tomatoes (by that time we will all have a plethora in our gardens, right?); in October, he will tackle canning and preserving; pies and tarts will be on the menu in November, just in time for your Thanksgiving entertaining; and in December — cookies!
Also at Acorn — Kidz Biz has been rescheduled to the first Thursdays in September and October, thanks to the Manchester area being graced by rain showers and a few thunderstorms this past Thursday. There‘s still time for your kids to bring in their wares.
Acorn Farmers’ Market & Café is open daily 7am–9pm. Stop by any time for fresh produce, groceries, or a special treat.
