Corn Roast, Scarecrow Make & Take, and Kidz Biz at Outdoor Farmers Market
submitted by Manchester Farmers Market
We hope many of you are able to join us as this is our second-to-last outdoor farmers market of the year. Come out for our Corn Roast, Scarecrow Make & Take, and Kidz Biz to support not only our awesome weekly vendors, but also the youngest entrepreneurs here in Manchester!
Join us for our FREE annual Corn Roast at Acorn’s Outdoor Market this Thursday, September 1, from 3 to 6pm at 455 W Main St. The Manchester Men’s Club is back to roast Fusilier’s corn to perfection. I can taste that deliciously buttered corn on the cob already!
We’ll also have our free scarecrow-making station set up to add to the festivities. A special thanks to Worth Repeating for helping to collect clothing for our scarecrows.
Kidz Biz has been rescheduled for next week’s market as well. We have quite a few young entrepreneurs eager to join our more seasoned vendors for the day. Kidz Biz vendors will be selling fresh produce, including beans, tomatoes, summer squash, and flowers; handmade towels, hot pads, and coasters; holiday trees and knitted items; macramé; bookmarks; paper hats; slime; beaded necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and other jewelry; magnets; ornaments; and play dough. Come support these young entrepreneurs!
And, of course, we’ll have many of our loyal vendors all set up and selling their wonderful handmade and home-grown items:
Lavender and Grace Family Farm will have a lovely variety of unique perennials for any garden, including different varieties of lavender and different perennials. They will also have dried lavender and many other lavender products. Everything lavender and more!
S•TEA•P Specialty Tea Products will have handcrafted, Michigan-inspired loose-leaf tea.
SRSLY will have freebies and information. They will also have 10 swag bags available for the first 10 people to stop by the table!
Cathy Shaffer will have an assortment of breads, cookies, and cinnamon rolls!
Hoppy Soaps will have bath bombs, deodorant, chapstick, soap, and more!
Anthro Apothecary will have their Herbal Hint flavor shakers as well as a few of their custom teas and natural bath and body products!
Smiling Jim’s Organic Seasoning Blends will be there with their low-sodium seasoning blends, which are handcrafted in small batches in Tecumseh. Try a sample of their hot pepper blend on your corn!
Also, Thursday evenings at Manchester Market, come check out Taste & Tunes from 4 to 7pm. Amazing samples from every department, all prepared onsite with great live music. All are welcome!
Our final market of the season will be Thursday, October 6.
