Manchester’s final 3rd Thursday on September 15, 2022, promises to be better than ever.

In addition to the advertised live music, vendors, street food, kids’ alley, and more, the Manchester Community Resource Center (CRC) will host a Cornhole tournament. Cornhole, the familiar family lawn game, has become so popular that friends and neighbors become regular players and regular players become skilled enough to form two-person teams and enter competitions.

Cornhole teams of all ages and levels of skill are invited to gather on Adrian Street between Ockrow and Duncan on the 15 at 5pm to put their bag-tossing arms to good use. Island City Cornhole will conduct this competition. Teams can register online ahead of time at scoreholio.com or in person (cash only) on Thursday beginning at 5pm. This Cornhole tournament will be a double-elimination event. The winning team will take home half of the entry fees ($40 per two-person team) collected. Proceeds will benefit the CRC.

The Manchester CRC is sponsoring this Cornhole tournament in an effort to replace funds lost when their 2022 annual spring golf outing had to be canceled. Monies raised from this family-friendly competition will be used for programs and services and to provide direct assistance to members of the Manchester community.

For more information, contact Pat Vailliencourt at 734-428-7751 or Laura Seyfried at the CRC, 734-428-7722.
