Obituary: Barbara L. Hunget

Barbara Louise Hunget (March 1, 1927-Sunday, September 11, 2022)

Barbara Louise Hunget, 95, of Chelsea, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022.  Barb’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 6pm – 8pm and on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from noon – 2pm at Eineder Funeral Homes – Manchester Chapel.  Her funeral service will be held following visitation at 2pm  Burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 12000 Ellsworth Road, Chelsea.

She was born on March 1, 1927, in Lansing, Michigan to Earl and Mary (Christopher) Snyder. Barb married the love of her life, Gerald Hunget, on October 1, 1964, in Ypsilanti.  She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.  She graduated from Ypsilanti High School, Class of 1945. Barb’s first job was working in Detroit for the Michigan Railroad.  She retired from there to raise her children on the farm.  Barb was a hands-on Mom, who loved her kids and animals, especially her cats. Barb and Jerry enjoyed having lunch at Linda’s Diner in Manchester. 

Barb will be missed by her husband, Jerry; her children, Kerry (Craig Reed) Buckels, of Manchester, and Tom Hunget of Adrian; granddaughters Baylee Buckels and Madison Buckels.  She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Jean Powers.
