Varsity Boys Soccer holding Pink Out Game this week
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Manchester Boys’ Varsity Soccer team will be holding their Pink Out Game in honor and support of it (a couple of days early) on Thursday, September 29, with a 5:30pm kickoff at the Manchester Athletic Complex. They will be facing Jackson Christian. Admission is $5 for adults. Students and seniors 62+ get in free. Wear pink.
Last year the team observed Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink jerseys and socks to all of their October games. The idea was generated by player Cody Smith, who had been impacted over the years by various family members with breast cancer, and supported by both Coach Dan Tar and Athletic Director Lon Pinhey.
