Manchester District Library (MDL) will host Elizabeth Levy, founder of Essay Help for Colleges, on Monday, October 10 at 6:30pm. Levy will share guidelines for writing effective college application essays. This session is recommended for anyone applying to colleges, regardless of age.

As a high school counselor for more than 20 years in the Whitmore Lake public school system, Levy is passionate about helping students craft well-rounded and compelling college essays for their applications.

With the expertise and experience she brings to this workshop, she will discuss how to:

  • identify a theme for your essay, one that will best convey your uniqueness and inner strengths;
  • brainstorm stories and insights to support your chosen topic; and
  • share who you truly are and why you would be an asset to the college or university you want to attend.

Registration is appreciated, but not required. MDL asks those who are interested in attending to register online or RSVP to the Facebook event to aid in planning; however, drop-ins are also welcome.

Manchester District Library (MDL) is proud to serve the Village of Manchester, Manchester Township, Bridgewater Township, and Freedom Township. Village of Clinton and Clinton Township residents are also eligible for MDL library cards and welcome to use all MDL resources.
