Do you have an expertise that could benefit the whole county? Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity where you could bring a Manchester perspective to a county-wide body? The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners is looking for citizens to volunteer for a slate of positions on various boards, committees, and commissions for the coming year.

The county has 2 openings on the Agricultural Lands Preservation Advisory Committee, 4 on the Board of Health, 2 on the Board of Public Works, 1 on the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, 7 on the Building Code/Construction Board of Appeals, 10 on the Commission on Aging, 2 on the Community Action Board, 11 on the Criminal Justice Collaborative Council, 6 on the Environmental Council, 12 on the Washtenaw County Food Policy Council, 3 on the Historic District Commission, 4 on the Huron River Watershed Council, 19 on the Local Emergency Planning Committee, 4 on the Natural Areas Technical Advisory Committee, 2 on the Parks and Recreation Commission, 3 on the Police Services Steering Committee, 1 on the Road Commission, 1 on the Social Services Board, 1 on the Veterans Affairs Committee, and 5 on the Washtenaw County/City of Ann Arbor Community Corrections Advisory Board.

To apply for a position on a Washtenaw County board or commission, individuals  must complete an application that is available as a link at https://www.washtenaw.org/3667/Current-Openings. Applications are due by Friday, October 28, 2022.

If selected, the Board of Commissioners will make these appointments at its session on December 7, 2022, at 7pm in the Board Room, Administration Building, 220 N Main St, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
