November is the month the Manchester Community Resource Center, Inc. traditionally celebrates the good folks around us who add value to the local community by donating their time, energy, and/or dollars. Individual “providers” as well as church groups, civic clubs, and nonprofit organizations in the area provide activities, resources, and services that benefit their neighbors.  Some efforts are publicized, but many are not. Some partner with the CRC, and some do not. Whatever the case, these good deeds should not go unrecognized.

Since the pandemic, the annual volunteer recognition banquet held at Chelsea Hospital, and hosted by the CRC, has been suspended. However, the good deeds and donations have not stopped. They continue to enrich the lives of people in the village and in its surrounding townships. So, in lieu of the recognition banquet, the CRC is hosting an appreciation open house on Wednesday, November 9, from 5pm to 8pm at the River Raisin Distillery (480 W Main St).

Space is limited, hence the open-house format. Laura Seyfried, Executive Director, and CRC board members will be on hand to welcome and acknowledge the generosity of the volunteers and benefactors who have contributed to the well-being of their Manchester neighbors. Those accepting this invitation are asked to register by November 2, 2022, by calling 734-428-7722. The CRC would like to say, “Thanks for your giving.”
