SUMC invites community to help pack meals for the hungry

Sharon United Methodist Church (SUMC) invites the community to join them for a meal-packing event on November 15 at 7pm at the Fellowship Hall located at 19890 Pleasant Lake Rd, Manchester, north of the Sanctuary building. Come join an assembly line of volunteers and help fill bags of rice and beans, seal them, and box them to be shipped to Haiti or to be distributed in Lenawee County. If you’d like to volunteer, please register at https://sharonumchurch.breezechms.com/form/I92-2022 so they know how many volunteers to expect.

For this event, SUMC is partnering with a local Christian not-for-profit humanitarian food aid relief organization, I92 Ministries. The name “I92” is a reference to the book of Isaiah, Chapter 9, verse 2, which reads, “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.”
