River Raisin Distillery (RRD) and Manchester District Library (MDL) will cohost local historian and collector of Michigan memorabilia Ken Magee on Sunday, November 20. Magee will present his new coffee-table book, The Ultimate Michigan Football Program and Ticket Guide.

Co-authored with Brian Snider, The Ultimate Michigan Football Program and Ticket Guide contains over 2,500 color photographs of every University of Michigan football game day program and ticket stub known to exist, game summaries of every Michigan football game since the first game in 1879, and an introductory letter written by former President Gerald Ford.

This presentation will feature numerous images that illustrate the way football has been intertwined with American history over the last century, including the World Wars, Lindbergh’s flight, JFK assassination, and 9/11. Ken will also tell the story of the 30+ years it took to complete this one-of-a-kind collection.

Reviews have described the book as a “sports masterpiece” and “one of the most unique books written in the history of all sports books.”

The event starts at noon in the River Raisin Distillery located at 480 W Main St and will include a signing with copies of the book for sale. All ages are welcome; advance registration is not required.
