The Tecumseh Players, the Tecumseh Center for the Arts, and the TCA Big Band & VocalAires have teamed to present “A Christmas Carol” on Saturday, December 10, at 2 and 7pm, and on Sunday, December 11, at 2pm.

It will be presented as a 1940s-style radio show complete with sound effects and music by the TCA Big Band & VocalAires. The audience will be a part of the show. The WTCA Radio Show “A Christmas Carol” tells Dickens’ classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Under the Artistic Direction of Joyce Lancaster and Musical Direction of Mark Felder, 40 cast members, 25 TCA Big Band members, and four live sound effects artists will bring Scrooge and friends to life on the TCA stage.

The show should be especially enjoyable if you have never seen an old-fashioned radio show performed on stage. As an added interest, Manchester resident Betty Cummings will be featured as a guest at the party, an experience she considers “a good time.“

The Tecumseh Center for the Arts is located at 400 N Maumee St in Tecumseh. Tickets are $15 and may be ordered online at www.TheTCA.org, at 517-423-6617, or in person at the box office.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
