SUMC held its first session of Centershot Archery in August

submitted by Sharon United Methodist Church

Sharon United Methodist Church invites you to take part in a discovery event for Centershot Archery.

If you are 13 or older, join us January 28 and 29 from 4:30pm to 6pm to learn archery safety and skill. Registration fee is $15 per participant. All instructors are NASP-trained Basic Archery Instructors. Each coach has up to five participants.

Participants will be introduced to the fastest growing sport in the United States. Archery is fun and safe. Research shows the only sport safer than archery is table tennis. Centershot combines the life skill of archery with the gospel of Jesus. Participants learn the 11 steps to success in shooting a bow and arrow safely and accurately, alongside the foundations for a life of faith. Each session includes introduction to a skill, archery range shoot practice, devotional time, and snack.

The program will take place in the Fellowship Hall at Sharon United Methodist Church at the corner of M-52 and Pleasant Lake Road (19980 Pleasant Lake Rd). Registration deadline is January 23. You can register at: https://www.sharonumchurch.org/familyministries.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
