Audrey Rentfro was selected as December 2022 Manchester Community Schools Foundation Student of the Month.

Audrey is the daughter of Joanne and Ron Rentfro. An active Link Crew leader for the past two years, she was also a member of the National Honor Society during her junior and senior years. She was selected to be on the South & West Washtenaw Consortium (SWWC) Student Council this year. She also joined the Spanish Club for one year. She is currently a cadet in Mrs. Stommen’s second-grade class for the SWWC program.

Audrey has played volleyball, basketball, and softball, receiving the Most Improved Player on the varsity volleyball team her junior year. She received Academic All State in volleyball her senior year. She was recently named Coming Home Queen 2023.

Audrey plans to attend a local college to pursue a degree in elementary education. She plans to attend either Adrian College, Siena Heights University, or Washtenaw Community College.

Audrey gives back to the community by volunteering her time at local MAYS softball camps and youth hoops clinics. She participates in church activities at Emanuel United Church of Christ. Audrey enjoys spending time with her family on the lake, especially tubing during the summer months. For her senior year at high school, she has enjoyed making special memories with her friends and her involvement in the seasonal sports seasons.

The Manchester Community School Foundation (MCSF) recognizes one student from each grade, each month as student of the month. Senior students of the month are invited to provide more information for a profile in the Mirror and will be recognized at an appreciation dinner held in the MCSF in the spring for the seniors who are chosen as students of the month during the school year. MCSF also offer a $1,000 scholarship for which only senior students of the month are eligible to apply.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
