Loretta E. Widmayer ~ February 22, 1931 – February 1, 2023

Loretta E. Widmayer, age 91, of Manchester, passed away peacefully under the loving care of her family and Elara Caring Hospice on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Loretta’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 10am to 11am at St. Mary Roman
Catholic Church, 210 W Main St, Manchester. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held following visitation at 11am. Fr. Bosco Padamattummal will serve as celebrant.

She was born on February 22, 1931, in Jackson, Michigan, to Andrew and Veronica (Pawloski) Truszkowski. Loretta loved to bowl, play cards, and knit. She donated thousands of baby hats and blankets to Mott Children’s Hospital of Ann Arbor.

Loretta will be missed by her four daughters, Ann (Dan) Hassett, Jean (Marc) Boote, Sharon (Gene) Kemeter, and Carol Widmayer-Flint; six grandchildren, Emily (Brad) Humphrey, Lindsey Hassett, Alyssa (Thomas) McCreight, Kayla (Dominic) Dixon, Brian (Cecilia) Kemeter, and Mia Flint; five great-grandchildren, Elliot and Jordan Humphrey, Abigail McCreight, and Luke and Paislei Dixon; son-in-law, Timothy Flint; and twin brother, Edwin Truszowski of Arizona. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard, of 49 years in 2009; parents; and brother Alfred Truszkowski.
