The Winter Survival Series of fun-filled activities for all ages will continue into March at the Manchester District Library (MDL). Stop by the library or visit the event calendar for more information about these and other great programs coming soon to the MDL.
Dr. Seuss Book Club
March 4 | 10:30am | Teen Spot — Bring your favorite Dr. Seuss book to read and share! All ages welcome.
Dr. Seuss Costume Contest
March 4 | 12pm | Teen Spot — Dress up like your favorite Dr. Seuss character or just go all out with a goofy outfit. There will be a prize of a $20 gift certificate to Worth Repeating for the first place winner, with games and pizza for all to follow. All ages are welcome.
Tea Tasting & Positive Reflections
March 6 | 2pm | Upstairs Lounge — Relax, sit, and sip while learning about different herbs as well as when and why to use them. Take time to connect with the herbs and ourselves, followed by talking and sharing any positive reflections. Doing this together invokes amplified feelings of health and wellness. Leave feeling connected, centered, and present. Wear a fun “tea time“ hat for a free gift! All ages welcome.
SRSLY After School Book Club
March 8 | 3:30pm | Teen Spot — Decide as a group what book to read and play games together. Materials provided; recommended for ages 11+.
ONGOING PROGRAMS
Maker Night
March 1 (monthly on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday) | 6:30pm | Upstairs Lounge — Makers in all mediums are invited to bring their latest project and get inspiration from other participants. This is a great opportunity for beginners to get help from experienced practitioners or for small groups to work together on creative interests. Recommended for ages 13+.
Bingo!
March 2 (monthly on the 1st Thursday) | 6:30pm | Teen Spot — Join Ms. Angela for a rousing round of bingo with snacks and prizes. All ages welcome.
Story Time
March 7 (weekly on Tuesdays) | 11am | Youth Area — Story Time continues through the winter with special guest readers and fun projects. Recommended for preschool-age children with an adult.
Board of Trustees Meeting
March 9 (monthly on the 2nd Thursday) | 7pm | Council Chamber — The Manchester District Library is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Visit manchesterlibrary.info/board-
Manchester District Library (MDL) is proud to serve the Village of Manchester, Manchester Township, Bridgewater Township, and Freedom Township. Village of Clinton and Clinton Township residents are also eligible for MDL library cards and welcome to use all MDL resources. Current MDL hours are Monday–Thursday, 10am–8pm; Friday, 10am–6pm; and Saturday, 10am–2pm. The most up-to-date hours and the latest news are always available on the MDL website.
