Obituary: Harold Eugene Tedrick

Harold Eugene Tedrick (January 13, 1935 – April 9, 2023)

Harold Eugene Tedrick, 88, of Manchester, passed away peacefully at home, under the care of Arbor Hospice, on Sunday, April 9, 2023. Harold’s family and friends will gather Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 10:30am to noon at Eineder Funeral Homes — Manchester Chapel. A graveside service will take place following visitation at Oak Grove Cemetery, Manchester.  

He was born on January 13, 1935, in Illinois to Ora and Myrene (Hopkins) Tedrick. Harold married the love of his life, Dorothy Bentley, on March 16, 1968, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. They had 55 wonderful years together. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and good friend. Harold moved from Illinois to Ypsilanti in 1962, then settled in Manchester in 1978. He served two years in the United States Army. Harold retired from Ford Motor Company in 1994. He earned his pilot’s license and rented planes to fly his family on vacations, usually up north, to Illinois, and a trip to Kentucky. Harold was a man of faith as a member of Victory Baptist Church for 30 years.

Harold will be missed by his wife, Dorothy; his children, James Hamilton, Terry Curley, Greg Hamilton, Jerry Hamilton, and Carrie (Jon) Walz; brother, Randy (Dana) Tedrick; and grandchildren, Jim Hamilton, Daniel Curley, Jessica Kaker, Anna Walz, Olivia Walz, and Jackson Walz. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Caroline Haas and Linda Murphy, and his parents.
