Letter to the Editor: Thanks from Parks Commission

To the editor:

Thank you to Lisa DuRussel, Sue Gleason, and the Manchester residents who showed up to volunteer for our annual spring clean-up day at Chi-Bro Park (April 1). The weather was NOT ideal and certainly seemed like a true April Fool’s Day prank, but the dedication of those who showed up was truly appreciated. We didn’t get everyone’s names, but you know who you are and we thank you for taking the time to help beautify our parks. Also, thank you to ALL of you who help to pick up litter across our town. We see you and appreciate you.  

A special thank you to Lisa and Sue, whose dedication to Manchester’s parks is remarkable. Their love for outdoor spaces is evident in the hours they volunteer to improve our parks. Thank you to them both!
