WCSO March 2023 report of police services in the village

During the month of March there were 155 calls for service. During this time, 78 traffic stops were made, resulting in 39 citations.
Noteworthy events in Manchester Village during the month include:
On March 17, a Collaboration Deputy responded to the 100 block of W. Vernon Street for a report of Mail Theft. The victim reported that an unknown suspect stole vehicle registration paperwork out of his mailbox and later registered a license plate for a vehicle in Massachusetts. At the time of this report (April 10, 2023) the suspect remains unknown and the Deputy isn’t able to get cooperation from the Massachusetts Secretary of State Office.
On March 22, a Collaboration Deputy responded to the 900 block of City Road for a report of a fraud. Village staff noticed an inconsistent check made out to one of their vendors and when further investigation was completed, it was discovered that the original check had been intercepted (likely at the post office) and forged. The incident has been turned over to the Postmaster General for further investigation.
A total of 23 Ordinance Violations were investigated in March, many snow-related.
Snow-removal red tags were issued in the 500 block of W. Main, the 500 block of E. Main, the 400 block of W. Main, the 300 block of W. Main, the 500 block of Ann Arbor Street (3), the 400 block of Ann Arbor Street, the 600 block of E. Duncan, the 400 block of E. Duncan, the 300 block of S. Macomb, the 300 block of Territorial, the 400 block of Territorial, and the 300 block of Baker St. A verbal warning was issued due to snow in the 20500 block of Dutch Drive.
Blight letters were issued to properties in the 500 block of Granger St, the 100 block of E. Main, and the 500 block of Territorial.
Vehicles were red-tagged in the 200 block of N. Union and the 500 block of Clarkson while letters were sent regarding vehicles in the 400 block of Furnace Street, the 300 block of Macomb (2), and the 500 block of City Road.
Three parking citations were issued in the 100 block of Hibbard Street.
