Armando Covarrubias, of Adrian, caught his first pike — and one of the largest he’s ever seen — on his first time fishing from the lower level of the Village Hall just below the dam. His catch was witnessed by the 30+ people in attendance at the Manchester DDA meeting on Wednesday night, and provided a little extra excitement for everyone. “I’d heard from friends that this was a great place to fish,” he said.
