Library’s summer reading program kicks off June 9

This year, Manchester District Library (MDL) will hold its annual Summer Reading Program (SRP) Kick-Off event at Chi-Bro Park on Friday, June 9. The 2023 Summer Reading Program theme is “All Together Now” and will offer challenges and prizes for all ages through July 24. Drop by between noon and 2pm to register for the summer reading program and stay for popcorn, ice pops, and music.

Can’t make the Kick-Off? Early registration opens on Monday, June 5, and will be available for the duration of the program online at manchesterlibrary.info, by phone at (734) 428-8045, or in person at the library front desk. Stop by the library or visit the event calendar for information about special SRP programs throughout the summer.

Manchester District Library (MDL) is proud to serve the Village of Manchester, Manchester Township, Bridgewater Township, and Freedom Township. Village of Clinton and Clinton Township residents are also eligible for MDL library cards and welcome to use all MDL resources. Manchester District Library is located at 912 City Road. Hours are Monday–Thursday, 10am–8pm; Friday, 10am–6pm; and Saturday, 10am–2pm. The most up-to-date hours and the latest news are always available on the MDL Website. MDL is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month in the lower level Village Council Chambers. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
