submitted by Quintessa Gallinat, Manchester District Library
Mindo Chocolate Makers will visit Manchester District Library (MDL) on Monday, June 19, to learn about and taste some delicious chocolate. This edu-tasting program will begin in the Village Room at 5pm. All ages are welcome.
Mindo Chocolate Makers is a woman-owned, family-run, local Michigan small business. They have control over the product from the time it is harvested from the heirloom cacao trees in Ecuador to the product on the shelves. Mindo Chocolate Makers takes great pride in their ethical practices, sustainability, the quality of their products, and the support of their local economy.
Learn about the history of cacao and how this amazing small business got its start while tasting many of the delicious, high-quality chocolates, from dark to milk, rustic to flavored. Some of the combinations might surprise you. It’s amazing the many flavors cacao can have!
