Introducing micro wrestling at the Manchester Community Fair
submitted by Steven Harvey, Manchester Community Fair president
Come check out a great night of Micro Championship Wrestling action and see why MCW is the Biggest Little Attraction in the Great Lakes Region at the Biggest Little Fair in Michigan, the Manchester Community Fair.
Each year, the board of the Manchester Community Fair tries to bring in exciting new entertainment that is both unique and entertaining, and this year the board found an event that should be fun for everyone, Blue Water Micro Wrestling. Although it is new to the Manchester Community Fair, Micro Wrestling has been around for decades.
Join us in the grandstand for an unforgettable night of high-flying antics, dazzling entertainment, and family fun on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 7pm as Blue Water Micro Wrestling’s Great Lakes Micro Mayhem Tour makes a stop at the Manchester Community Fair. Come see the high-flying, bone-crunching, micro entertainment WWE-type event take place in the Micro Hex Ring.
Blue Water Micro Wrestling’s owner and promoter, Andrew D’Arcy, explained, “One important thing that makes us stand out from the rest … we are the only Micro Company in the entire country who uses a custom-made, six-sided, dual-heighted micro wrestling ring. Nobody else in the country has it. It’s a really cool sight to see, because it’s big and small at the same time in person. A unique concept nobody else has.”
Blue Water Championship Wrestling was opened as an independent pro wrestling company on June 19, 2001, by D’Arcy. He stated, “We would feature stars on national TV as well as travel all over the Great Lakes Region with primary shows in Michigan. We would feature both men and women for both big and little people. In 2022, I decided to do a new chapter by entering the Micro World of Wrestling by converting to all micro. In 2023, I bought the name/trademark for Micro Championship Wrestling (MCW) and now we are officially rebranded in the micro world as Micro Championship Wrestling, ‘The Biggest Little Attraction in the Great Lakes Region.’ Since then, we have scheduled our first Micro Mayhem Tour for Michigan here in 2023, and since going micro, communities are really getting excited about having a company so close to home here in Michigan.”
