Obituary: Barbara Elaine Osga

Barbara Elaine Osga (July 14, 1941 – August 1, 2023)

Barbara Elaine Osga, 82, of Tecumseh passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side, Tuesday, August 1, 2023.  Barbara’s family and friends will gather on Tuesday August 8, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at Eineder Funeral Homes – Manchester Chapel and on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at 10am at Manchester United Methodist Church.  Her funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at Manchester United Methodist Church.  Pastor Larry Wik and Pastor Susan Hitts will officiate.

She was born on July 14, 1941 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to James and Olga (Collinsworth) Cox.  Barbara married, Dennis Helfrich on April 29, 1961, they were married for 22 years. Barbara married Albert Osga, on August 9, 1992 in Manchester, Michigan. She will be remembered as a highly-organized, caring, and fashionable woman.  Barbara was a graduate of Manchester High School in the class of 1959.  She worked at Irwin Magnetics for many years in the HR department, and she enjoyed entertaining and cooking for family.  Barbara loved listening to big band music and  dancing. Cooking was Barbara’s way of showing love to others.  Barbara was also a devoted grandmother, and she frequently supported grandchildren at their events and played cards and board games with them.  Her house was always well-decorated for the seasons, and she loved to host family gatherings.  Barbara will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Barbara will be missed by her husband of 30 years Albert Osga; her children, Denny (Kelly) Helfrich and Kelly (Kyle) Owen; sisters, Darlene (Bill) Alber and Betty (Gerry) Mann; grandchildren, Nicole; Danielle; Kendall; Kameron; Karlee; great grandchildren, Wesley; Bowen; Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Delores Gebhardt.
