Last week, U.S. Representative Debbie Dingell visited three Manchester-area farms — Tantré Farm, Horning Family Farms, and Fusilier Farms — as part of a tour of farms in her district.

On visiting farms in the Manchester area, she stated, “Western Washtenaw has many farmers, and understanding their businesses, their concerns, their needs, and how I can help deliver on them, matters greatly to me. I visit farmers’ markets throughout the district year-round and am beginning an annual farm tour to hear directly from farmers and ensure they know they can talk to me any time about what really matters.”

She concluded, “I learned a lot; we had good two-way discussions and made new friends. Local farms are a backbone of our communities, and this is a tradition I plan on continuing.”

The Manchester area became part of the 6th District in 2022 and Debbie Dingell was elected as our representative in the general election that year. The District includes all of Washtenaw, as well as western and southern Wayne County, a small part of southwestern Oakland County, and the city of Milan in Monroe County.
