Letter to the editor: Thank you for helping build wells in the DRC

To the Editor:

Sharon Church would like to thank those who have helped us with time or contributions in raising money to dig four wells in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Through your generous donations to our mission events, you have helped bring fresh water to those who needed it.

These wells are dug by hand, with little equipment to help them. It takes three weeks to dig a well as they may be dug from 13 meters (42.65 feet) to 16 meters (52.49 feet) deep in order to reach fresh water. Before the wells, the villagers would have to walk every day to dip into a dirty river for their cooking, bathing, and washing water.

These wells change their lives, and your help has changed lives.
