Library book club hosts local author talk and book signing with John Marks
submitted by Quintessa Gallinat, Manchester District Library
Manchester District Library (MDL) Adult Book Club will host Lansing area–based author John Marks for an author talk and book signing on Wednesday, September 20, at 6pm in the Village Room at 912 City Rd.
Marks is an attorney in mid-Michigan who serves as legal counsel to lawmakers at the state capitol. When not on his day job, John writes murder mysteries set in some of his favorite places in Michigan. Marks’ stories draw on his extensive travels throughout the state and the many lessons he has learned as a practicing attorney and professor of law at Western Michigan University.
The author talk event at the library will be followed by a Q&A and a book signing. MDL has a limited quantity of Marks’ Peninsula Mystery trilogy available for checkout in advance of the event. Books will also be available for purchase and signing at the event or can be purchased from Amazon.
Registration is appreciated, but not required. MDL asks those who are interested in attending to register online or RSVP to the Facebook event to aid in planning; however, drop-ins are also welcome.
