Did you know that the Community Resource Center (CRC) makes sure Manchester students have access to four nutritious meals, milk, juice, and snacks over the weekend, throughout the school year? Through the Weekend Kids Meal Program, the CRC sends food home with students in need of supplemental food. And now they need the community’s help to restock the items they regularly use for the program.

The CRC is asking for donations of individual serving size breakfast cereal, individual serving size oatmeal, cereal bars, macaroni and cheese, chicken noodle soup, SpaghettiOs or ravioli, ramen noodles, shelf-stable milk, juice boxes, resin snack packs, granola bars, cheese/peanut butter crackers, and Goldfish crackers. The are also in need of gluten-free versions of these for students with dietary restrictions. They prefer generic over name brand. Items must not be past their expiration date.

Donations can be dropped off at the CRC, 710 E Main St (the CRC has its own entrance on the east side of Riverside Intermediate School), Monday through Thursday, 9am to 2:30pm. Questions? Call the CRC at (734) 428-7722.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
