Public notice: Bridgewater, Freedom, Manchester, and Sharon Townships

 NOTICE OF REGISTRATION 
FOR THE ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2023

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE TOWNSHIPS OF BRIDGEWATER, FREEDOM, GRASS LAKE CHARTER, MANCHESTER, NORVELL AND SHARON:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of the townships of Bridgewater, Freedom, Grass Lake Charter, Manchester, Norvell and Sharon who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Township Clerk; the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to their Township/City Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com. 

The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is Monday, October 23, 2023.

After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.497) at the Township Clerk’s office, located at the following locations during the following hours:

Bridgewater Township (10990 Clinton Rd., Manchester, MI  48158):

• Regular business hours: By Appointment, please call 517-315-7545
• Saturday, November 4^th 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
• Dropbox at Township Hall
• Election Day, Tuesday November 7^th from 7 am to 8 pm

Freedom Township (11508 Pleasant Lake Rd., Ann Arbor, MI  48103):

• Regular business hours: call 734-428-7545 ext. 2 between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm (appointment only)
• Saturday, November 4^th 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Dropbox at Township Hall

Grass Lake Township (373 Lakeside Drive, Grass Lake, MI  49240):

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Manchester Community School district will be voting on the following millage proposal as presented and listed below:

Bond Proposal

MANCHESTER COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
GENERAL OBLIGATION UNLIMITED TAX BOND PROPOSAL
FOR BUILDING AND SITE PURPOSES IN THE AMOUNT OF
NOT TO EXCEED $64,820,000

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT THE BONDS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, IF APPROVED BY A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE ELECTORS AT THIS ELECTION, WILL BE GENERAL OBLIGATION UNLIMITED TAX BONDS PAYABLE FROM GENERAL AD VALOREM TAXES.
