DECA is more than competitions, blazers, and medallions. Joining DECA is the first step high school students can take toward achieving their goals and realizing their greatest potential. Membership in DECA provides students the opportunity to participate in DECA’s programs at the local and international levels.

DECA puts students’ classroom learning to the test through the Competitive Events Program where members get to demonstrate their knowledge of important career content, as well as creativity, problem solving, and presentation skills, to a business professional. The potential to earn travel opportunities, recognition, scholarships, and even DECA Glass for learning classroom content makes it all that more motivating.

With more than 12 new members and hotel, travel, and registration expenses, all of this fun comes with a hefty price tag. So for that reason, our very own Manchester DECA chapter is making the effort to fundraise — the first being a can drive. On Sunday, November 5, Manchester DECA members will be set up in the high school parking lot from 12 to 3pm, as well as driving around collecting cans. Please scan the QR code below if you would like them to come to your house to collect.

Additionally, on Wednesday, November 8, Frank’s Place will be donating 20% of their sales to Manchester DECA. Please stop by from 5 to 8pm and dine in or order for take-out; either way they appreciate the support.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
