On Monday, November 13, 2023, the Lions Club of Manchester awarded local Manchester students cash prizes for the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest. This year’s theme is “Dare to Dream” and the first-place local Manchester winner, Madeline Zahner, will go on to compete at Lions district level, then if selected, on to state competition, and potentially all the way to International, which will take place in Melbourne, Australia. Madeline was also awarded a cash prize of $100.

In second place, Cassidy Hieber was awarded a cash prize of $75, and in third place, Abigayle Naebeck was awarded $50. The Lions Club was extremely proud of all the students who participated and their impressive poster submissions. This is an annual contest and Lions Club encourages students to participate again next year. A big thank you to Manchester Community Schools art teacher Ms. Isabella Lehrer for helping with the contest!
