Once again this year, the Manchester Township Fire Department is sponsoring Toys for Tots to help families in need in the Manchester area.

Boxes will be appearing at hosting businesses throughout the community during the week, and new, unwrapped toys may be dropped off at any of the locations: Chuck’s Auto Repair, Comerica Bank, Linda’s Diner, Manchester District Library, Manchester ACE Hardware, Manchester Township Office, Old National Bank, and River Raisin Distillery.

Please remember that only new, unwrapped toys can be accepted. All toy donations will remain within the Manchester area. For questions or requests, please call Manchester Township Fire Department at (734) 428-9439 and select option 2.

The main toy distribution will support the Lions Club and Manchester Family Service annual Kids Christmas on December 9. The final toy pickup will be the weekend of December 16.

Jeff Mann, coordinator of Manchester’s Toys for Tots, said that this project would not be possible without all the generous donations from the community and all the drop-off locations.
