as submitted to Village of Manchester by Lt. Alan Hunt

During the month of October 2023 there were 159 calls for service. During this time, 102 traffic stops were made, resulting in 40 citations.

During the month of October, there were no significant incidents that posed a risk to the public within Manchester Village.

Ordinance violations: Deputies issued a verbal warning to a citizen who was in violation of the dog ordinance at the Kirk Park ball diamonds. A notice of correction was given to a residence in the 300 block of S. Macomb Street for the grass ordinance.

The Sheriff’s Office has recently implemented an online police-reporting portal. Citizens can now file certain types of police reports online without needing contact with a deputy or to come into a station. The following types of incidents may be filed online:

  • Harassing phone calls/no known suspects
  • Identity theft/no known suspects
  • Lost property
  • Larceny/theft/no known suspects
  • Damaged property/vandalism
  • Accidental/non-intentional property damage

Any and all incidents can still be reported by calling 911; Washtenaw Metro Dispatch’s non-emergency dispatch number, (734) 994-2911; or in person at any of our Community Police Stations.

The online reporting portal can be accessed through the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office website at: https://www.washtenaw.org/3439/File-a-Police-Report
