Letter to the Editor: DECA thanks the community

To the Editor:

I would like to thank this wonderful community for the outpouring of support for our Manchester High School DECA chapter. Frank’s Place was so very generous to open their doors and give a percentage of sales from the evening of November 8. My students showed up to help and talk to customers. And Manchester showed up to eat to support Frank’s and DECA. My students received $1,000 to help them pay for conferences this year.

Another fundraiser the students did was a returnable can drive. It was a long day of hard work, but the students did a great job and earned about $1,000 from this one as well. That money will help them pay for state competition and a Sports and Entertainment Marketing educational conference.

Frank’s Place and the community of Manchester are helping students achieve their goals and dreams. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
