SYNOPSIS OF MEETING MINUTES

December 12, 2023, Regular Board Meeting

Held in person at the Freedom Town Hall 

Meeting called to order at 8:00pm 

Members present: Lindemann, Bristle, Layher, Huehl absent-Schaible    5 public in attendance.

The board heard public comment, communications received, and treasurer, clerk, planning commission, ordinance enforcement officer, and zoning administrator’s reports. 

Items approved:   

1. Minutes for November 14, 2023
2. Treasurer’s report
3. To appoint Mike Bossory for a 3 yr. term to the planning commission.
4. To appoint Dan Schaible for a 1 yr. term and Carol Huehl for a 1 yr. term (recording secretary) to the planning commission.
5. To appoint Scott Diuble to Zoning Board of appeals for 1 yr. term.
6. To appoint Frank Lobbestael and Jeff Weidmayer to Zoning Board of appeals for 2 yr. terms and Dale Ganzhorn as alternate.  
7. To hire Jodie Anderson as the new town hall manager.
8. To set the Freedom Twp. board meetings for the second Tuesday of the month at 8:00 p.m. at the Freedom Township Hall.
