Mario Mondays still going strong
Manchester District Library (MDL) offers Mario Mondays at 5pm each week in the Village Room at 912 City Rd. Drop in to go head-to-head with other racers in Mario Kart or face off against Mario and other gaming legends in Super Smash Bros. and grab some snacks between rounds! All ages are welcome.
Family Story Time every Wednesday
Family Story Time continues in the new year with special guest readers presenting stories, music, and hands-on activities. MDL hosts this weekly event for the littlest readers on Tuesdays at 11am in the youth area on the main floor. Recommended for preschool-age children with an adult.
Maker Night continues bi-monthly
Makers in all media are invited to bring their latest project to the MDL and get inspiration from other participants during Maker Nights. If you knit, crochet, quilt, sew, felt, weave, spin, paint, draw, sculpt, model, fold, glue, assemble, collect, display, or craft in any form, you are welcome to join, work, and socialize 6:30–8:30pm in the lower-level conference room of the Community Building at 912 City Rd. This is a great opportunity for beginners to get help from experienced practitioners or for small groups to work together on creative interests. This event happens monthly on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays with the next session being held on Wednesday, February 7. Recommended for ages 13+.
Stop by the library or visit the event calendar for information about this and other great programs for all ages at the MDL. Questions? Call (734) 428-8045. MDL is located at 912 City Rd. Hours are Monday–Thursday, 10am–8pm; Friday, 10am–6pm; and Saturday, 10am–2pm. The most up-to-date hours and the latest news are always available on the MDL website. MDL is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month in the lower-level Village Council Chambers. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
