MHS names January 2024 Students of the Month

Manchester Junior-Senior High School’s Students of the Month for December have been selected. Students are selected for Student of the Month awards for promoting a good way of life; for working and getting along with people; for working up to their capacity; for inspiring respect for adults, peer groups, and people in authority; for promoting good citizenship; for promoting self-control, ambition, responsibility, and self-reliance; for having desirable leadership; for promoting friendship and being personable; and for aiding and encouraging the development of others with whom they are associated.
The January Students of the Month for Manchester Jr/Sr High are: Christian Morrow (7th grade), Eli Finnegan (8th grade), Teagan Clarke (9th grade), Ella Turek (10th grade), Sarah Stommen (11th grade), and Kannon Duffing (12th grade).
Senior Kannon Duffing is a member of the varsity football and baseball teams. He is also in the National Honor Society and DECA. Next year he plans to attend Anderson University to study secondary education, specifically mathematics. He will be playing football. Kannon’s hobbies are athletics, fishing, and working out. He has two siblings in the high school (Junior Bubba and Freshman Kallie). He engages in the community by taking tickets at sporting events and volunteering at youth football camp as well as the Chicken Broil.
Kannon, as a senior, is eligible to compete for the Manchester Community Schools Foundation scholarship as one of the 10 senior students selected throughout the year.
