SYNOPSIS OF MEETING MINUTES

February 13, 2024, Regular Board Meeting

Held in person at the Freedom Town Hall 

Meeting called to order at 8:04pm 

Members present: Lindemann, Bristle, Layher, Huehl; absent: Schaible; 3 public in attendance.

The board heard public comments, communications received, and treasurer, clerk, planning commission, ordinance enforcement officer, and zoning administrator’s reports. 

Items approved:

1. Minutes for January 9, 2024
2. Treasurer’s report
3. To approve a refund for the fire withholding check for the property clean-up for Eric and Kathryn Fahlstrom
4. To approve the 2024 Federal poverty guidelines in the determination of poverty exemptions
5. To adopt Freedom Township’s poverty exemption guidelines and put the application on file with the township
6. To adopt the policy for inspection of assessing records
7. To set the Budget Hearing for Tuesday, March 12, at 7:30pm
8. To allow Lindemann to spend up to $100 on a first aid kit for the town hall
9. To allow Lindemann to contact Dynamic Drain Company and get the drain cleaned
10. Solar Presentation will be held on Monday, March 18, at 7pm at the Freedom Town Hall
11. Warrants
