Mary Beth Gardner (June 1, 1954 – March 10, 2024)

Mary Beth (Knickerbocker) Gardner went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 10, 2024.

A Celebration of Life will be held 3pm June 15, 2024 at Life in Christ Church.

Mary was born 69 years ago June 1, 1954 in Tecumseh, the daughter of Leroy and Helen (Meyer) Knickerbocker. She was a part of the graduating class of 1972 at Manchester Community Schools.

Mary was a true servant of the Lord. She volunteered any free time she had to various programs such as Owosso Senior Center, Child Ministries, and Angel Hands. Mary also was known for her sewing and crocheting, She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need and never expected anything in return. She enjoyed going to the Lebowski Center with her sister Connie Crist and her great niece Cortney Coppersmith. Mary was her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader and enjoyed attending their after school activities. She loved God and her family the most.

Mary worked at St. Joe’s Hospital for over 20 years. She found her true purpose when moving to Owosso and joined The Life in Christ family.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Shelby Gardner, Brittney Bailey, and Charity Kelly; bonus son, Ronald Bailey; grandchildren, Destinie Edwards, Hannah Bailey, JR. Bailey, Jazmene (James) Bailey, Joeseff Bailey, Jozlynn Bailey, Ethan Hicks, Destan Ferdin, Atilla Ferdin, and Helen Ferdin; sisters, Connie Crist and Karen Knickerbocker; brother, Earl Knickerbocker; niece, Cortney Coppersmith; best friend of 30 years Lawrence Lehmann; along with several other family and friends.

She was greeted at the gates of Heaven by her parents, Leroy and Helen Knickerbocker, brother, David Knickerbocker, niece, Robin Knickerbocker, nephew, Burney Knickerbocker.
