Obituary: Vern Dean Kulenkamp
Vern Dean Kulenkamp, 93, of Manchester passed away peacefully at Legacy Assisted Living in Jackson on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Vern’s family and friends will gather at a later date for services.
Vern was born on January 2, 1931, in Manchester, Michigan to Otto and Margaret (Esch) Kulenkamp. Vern was a long time farmer and loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening, riding his 4-wheeler and spending time with family and friends. He was always known to be the first one to reach out to neighbors, friends and family to lend a hand.
Vern will be dearly missed by; his children, Jeanne Coker of Bradenton, Florida, Caryl (Mike) French of Grass Lake; brother, Alwin Kulenkamp of Cambridge, Canada; grandchildren, Nathan (Natalia) Coker of Florida, Sarah (Scott) Sutherland of North Carolina, Jeremiah (Leslie) Coker of Florida, Joel (Emily) Coker of Florida, Merci (Nathan) Harrod of Florida, and Richard (Lizzy) Coker of Florida; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret (Esch) and Otto Kulenkamp; siblings, Joyce Kulenkamp, Ermine Kulenkamp and Eileen Pratt; daughter, Debbie (Kulenkamp) Bailey; son, Craig Kulenkamp; and son in law, Richard Coker.
