Blumenauer receives Excellence in Discipline award at GVSU

Lee Blumenauer received the Excellence-in-a-Dicipline Award on April 8, 2024, for Nursing at Grand Valley State University. The Excellence-in-a-Discipline Award honors one student from each undergraduate and graduate discipline. Faculty from each department select the recipient based upon an earned minimum number of credit hours at an exceptional grade point average, along with other criteria identified by each unit as appropriate for use in determining academic excellence in their program.

Blumenauer graduated with a BSN in Nursing on April 27 from Grand Valley State University. He was a member of the Student Nurses’ Association where he served as the Treasurer. Lee received the Outstanding Member Award and a Volunteer Recognition Award from the Student Nurses’ Association. Lee was also an active member of Campus Ministry at GVSU, where he participated in several service trips.

Grand Valley State University is a public university in Allendale, Michigan, which enrolls more than 24,000 students from all 83 Michigan counties and dozens of other states and foreign countries.
