Barbara Brown (February 18, 1937 – June 2, 2024)

Barbara Brown passed away on June 2, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 18, 1937, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, the daughter of Harold and Evelyn Fisk. On January 19, 1957, she married James Brown of Clinton.

Barb was a lifelong resident of the Clinton area. She spent her life with Jim as a farmer’s wife, and along with their son, spent over 50 years establishing Brown’s Trailers. She was an accomplished quilter and loved her flower gardens.

She is survived by her three children, Sue (Mike) Vershum of Manchester, Diane Benson of Andover, NH, and Bradley (Carol) Brown of Saline; six grandchildren, Valerie (Greg) Davis of Grass Lake, Stephanie (Tom) Bates of Manchester, James (Tarah) Vershum of Sheridan, WY, Carmen (Jeremy) Palmquist of Raymond, NH, Jon (Meredith) Benson of Goffstown, NH, and Josh Brown of Saline; and her nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Margery Fisk Hucke of Fishers, IN; her brother-in-law, Larry (Rebecca) Brown of Richmond, VA; her sisters-in-law, Mary Anne Brown of Clinton and Arlene Fisk of Manchester, and many nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by Jim; her parents; her son-in-law David Benson; her brother, Clinton Fisk; and her brothers-in-law, Helmet Hucke and Richard Brown.

The family will be holding a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Barb can be made to Heartland Hospice of Ann Arbor or a charity of your choice.
