Nick Ball recognized by WISD as Inspirational Educator
From Washtenaw Intermediate School District
Washtenaw Intermediate School District has recognized Nick Ball as one of their Inspirational Educators of the Week! Nick is a kindergarten teacher at Woodland Meadows in Saline Area Schools.
He is kind, compassionate, caring, funny, and fun, and the entire cafeteria begins to chant “Mr. Ball” when he walks in! He is constantly thinking outside of the box and how to integrate reading and writing into the curriculum. Nick shares, “Inspiring young minds is just one of the many benefits of being an educator. Even after 11 years of teaching, the growth that students make from September to June always amazes me. I get the chance to build a love of learning that will last a lifetime. If a student enjoys and looks forward to school, learning becomes easier.”
About his recognition, he states, “It’s an honor to be selected as an inspirational educator. Growing up, I had many inspirational teachers. To be considered a part of this group means a lot to me. Inspiring young minds is just one of the many benefits of being an educator. I get the opportunity to be a positive role model for my students. They know that I am their biggest fan and there to support them in any way that I can.”
Nick Ball is the son of Manchester residents Mark and Kari Ball and graduated from Manchester High School in 2007 and Eastern Michigan University in 2011.
